5 ESSENTIAL FACTORS FOR SELECTING THE PERFECT 3D WALL PANEL.
3D panels is a new word in the interior design. It is a finishing material that is easy to install and does not require any additional processing. In addition to aesthetic function, it performs practical tasks: zoning of the room or arrangement of partitions.
The choice of 3D panels is a matter requiring your thorough attention, since the quality of the materials will directly influence the result!
- Eco-friendliness
3D panels are absolutely safe for your health: they are made from a natural environmentally friendly mineral.
3D wall panels does not conduct electric current, is odorless, hypoallergenic, has noise-insulating properties, protects against radioactive radiation, does not burn and is even able to regulate the humidity in the room.
- Durability:
At the moment there are two main ways to enhance the durability of the panels: the first and the most common is to add a modifier to the mixture or reinforce it. The latter way significantly deteriorates environmental friendliness of the product.
The second, a more progressive technology, consists in increasing the specific density of the material, adding and forming additional reinforcing ribs when casting panels.
- Class of flammability:
The flammability class of the material is confirmed by a fire certificate issued by the test report of an independent laboratory.
The best indicator is NF (non-flammable). Any other indicator implies the presence of impurities or other possible harmful components in the panels.
- Panel weight:
The weight of the panel depends not only on its size, but also on its relief. For example, a 500×500 mm 3D panel made of plaster will be at least 0.4-1 kg lighter than any comparable panel if in the first case the back side of the panel repeats the relief of the front side.
In addition, proper drying plays an important role too. An under-dried panel of 50×50 cm will weigh up to 8 kg and more instead of the necessary 4-5 kg.
- Surface quality:
You will easily understand that you are dealing with a quality surface product, if you swipe your hand along the front side of the panel: it should not feel roughened, but should shine and be spotless.
3D WALL PANELS makes it possible to add volume to any room and, therefore, it is chosen when the pattern is really deep. An important rule of fixing panels of any kind is having perfectly smooth walls! If the walls are not ideal, it is best to use a special frame that hides irregularities and communications.
